Temporary fence can be installed on virtually any surface. We’ve safely installed temporary fence on rock, dirt, mud, grass, asphalt and concrete. The only challenge when it comes to installing temporary fence is surface pitch. Ideally you want to have as flat and stable a surface as possible. The steeper the grade, the more complex and unsafe an installation becomes.
Each temporary fence panel weighs approximately 35 kg. While they are technically light enough for one person to carry, their size and shape can make them a bit awkward. For safety and efficiency reasons we always recommend our temporary fence panels be carried by two people.
Yes, of course. To assure the installation job is done right and done safely, most of our customers choose to have us set up their fence. If; however, you wish to set up the temporary fence panels and move them around on your own, that’s completely okay. Just let us know in advance and we can give you a tutorial.
All our temporary fence panels come in 10ft lengths. We offer three unique heights at 4ft, 6ft and 8ft. We also offer gating systems, fabric scrim, and various safety and security accessories. Our broad range of fencing options, safety products and security accessories ensure you get a customized and comprehensive site containment solution to suit the unique needs of your project or job site.
Our standard rental fence panels are silver in colour and have an electro-galvanized finish. If you are purchasing temporary fencing from FenceLine we can create custom panels in any colour.
Yes you can pick up the temporary fence panels instead of having us delivery them. Our fence panels fit best in an enclosed trailer, or flat deck trailer at least 10’ long. Temporary fence panels can fit in a 6’ long truck box; however, we do not recommend it.
Yes, we carry two types of man gates – a basic gate and a deluxe gate. With the addition of a rolling castor, we can also configure a 10’ wide fence panel into a vehicle gate.
To make your temporary fence more secure, we offer security clamps that you can tighten with a nut and bolt.
Temporary fencing; also known as “construction hoarding” or “security fence,” is a method of enclosing a construction site or event area on an interim basis. Its purpose is many fold as it helps to ensure public safety and security, crowd control, and it acts as a deterrence to theft.
Choosing the right height of a temporary fence is important and should be customized to its application and intended purpose. When selecting a fence for security and safety, always opt for a minimum fence of height of six feet or greater.
Virtually every commercial construction site is required by the municipality to use temporary fence around the site perimeter. In residential construction temporary fencing is not a requirement; however, it is becoming more commonplace among reputable contractors to ensure their job sites are safe and secure. Temporary fencing is a cost-effective way to keep the general public safe from dangers within the job site (ie: falling debris, sharp objects, open ground, tools and equipment), while providing necessary protection against public or criminal access to the site.
